Training & Development Generalist II

Position Type: Full-Time
Starting Salary: $90,000
Salary Increases: Year 2 - $95,000 | Year 3 - $100,000
Temporary Work Location: Naperville, IL
Future Work Location: (Required to Publish)
This role is eligible to participate in ALDI’s Hybrid Work Program, which allows remote work up to 3 days per week (i.e., work remotely up to 3 days per week; work in-office at least 2 days per week).

Duties and Responsibilities:
Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Identifies and recommends training and development opportunities that will assist employees in achieving enhanced performance and career objectives.
• Advises on any changes or actions to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the team.
• Informs management of recurring issues or when additional team training may be required.
• Investigates, designs, creates, and revises employee development projects as requested.
• Serves as a point-of-contact for divisions and third-party partnerships regarding performance management.
• Provides ongoing assistance to users of performance management programs; develops and delivers user training and any relevant communication pieces regarding the programs.
• Understands ALDI competency models and amends current programs and materials to reflect these models as needed.
• Understands developing trends in the performance management space, and shares with their team and others in Human Resources.
• Assists in training and developing team members to retain a motivated and professional workforce.
• Collaborates with team members and communicates relevant information to leadership.
• Complies with ALDI privacy and security requirements and policies if job responsibilities include possible access to confidential and/or sensitive information.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development or a related field required.
• A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Training & Development within a corporate environment required.
• Or, a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge. 
• Experience designing, implementing and overseeing systems and processes that improve employee performance and align it with organizational goals.
• Experience with SharePoint, Learning Management Systems and Performance Management Systems preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Work may be performed in an office, remote office or a combination of both where a computer and office equipment may be used as needed to perform duties.
• Regularly required to sit, reach, grasp, stand and move from one area to another.
• Constantly and repeatedly use keyboard/mouse.
• Occasionally required to push, pull, bend, lift and move up to 25 lbs. 

Travel:

• Minimal travel required as needed for job related duties such as training, project work and administrative tasks.
